A few months ago we were able to purchase the property that will one day be home to 18 girls. The property is large and contains fruit trees a primitive 3 room house and a detached toilet and shower were already on the property. We decided not to destroy the house but to finish it properly as its core structure was sound.

WellSpring has recently been fortunate to receive several items for the house that significantly aid in streamlining daily chores. Currently, the girls utilize a manual well from which they draw water daily using a rope and bucket.
Today the girls of WellSpring, along with their special guest as Ward was onsite wrapping up his time with the mission team, celebrated Martha and her 17th birthday.
During the recent mission trip, the team was able to spend time with several of the families of the WellSpring children.
Each week, our team receives inquiries from children seeking assistance with their education. The demand for support continues to rise as the economic situation in Zambia worsens.

Mary and Nessia were referred to Wellspring by the Ministry of Social Welfare, a Zambian government office with which we have a close working relationship. They required immediate and temporary protective services as two young girls aged 9 and 12.

Naomi is a key member of the founding team at Wellspring, and her significant contributions have greatly influenced the ministry’s presence in Mufulira. She has been actively volunteering since the inception of the organization, providing invaluable support to the children, families, staff, and fellow volunteers.
On 14th July 2024, Catherine had the joy of celebrating her 12th birthday for the very first time at Wellspring House! This special day was filled with excitement as she got to wear new clothes and enjoy a delicious cake, and we can’t thank Wellspring enough for that. The Wellspring family joined in the fun, making her celebration truly joyful.
